Native Houstonian Dr. Bobby Harl started Back Pew Brewing in 2015 in an abandoned church building located at 26452 Sorters McClellan Rd in Porter, Texas.
Today Dr. Harl is busy producing his one of a kind, expertly crafted beer that can be found flowing increasingly at watering holes throughout the region (click here to view a list of LHA and Houston area establishments with Back Pew beers on tap).
As the Lake Houston Area continues to experience tremendous residential, business and job growth it makes sense that we are now a part of Houston’s growing craft beer scene and should be proud to have our very own brewery and line of local beers to support and call our own.
Houston has seen itself become a sort of craft beer mecca over the past several years with the Bayou City occupying top spots for best cities in the nation for craft beer drinking along with the more than a dozen craft breweries who call Houston their home.
Look for Back Pew Brewing at your local pub, restaurant, cafe or sports bar and support LHA’s own craft beer by requesting it on tap at your favorite spots.
Also, continue to check Back Pew’s website regularly for updates.
Their website says:
“we’ve been flooded with messages from people wanting to visit our brewery. We couldn’t be happier that you want to visit us, and we can’t wait to host you. We’re working hard to get our house in order to bring you the best experience possible, and we’ll be open soon. Please be patient with us and check back regularly for updates!”
